What's Happening
September 9th: This was the Summer Harvest Food Drive
happening around Salem and sponsored by the Salem Association of
Realtors with help from Roth's and Fred Meyer. This food drive
benefits Marion-Polk Food Share, SACA's primary source of food aside
from individual donors and our own food drives.
Also in September, national and local affiliated Regal Cinemas are
having the CANS Fil Festival to benefit local hunger relief.
Free admission plus a small popcorn is offered in exchange for three
cans of food.
October 1st: is Chef's Nite Out, an event which features
over forty of the region's finest restaurants (including Silverton's
Silver Grille!) and beverage establishments under one roof at
Willamette Valley Vineyards. Restaurants and wineries donate
their time and wares, other costs of the event are covered by
corporate sponsorships. All of the ticket sales benefit local
hunger relief efforts. Purchase tickets by calling 503-581-3855

October 21st: SACA's Annual Fall Food Drive. The
third weekend in October SACA holds its biggest food drive which helps
to replenish low food supplies and adds to the variety of foods we
distribute. Contact Jen or Katherine at 503-873-3446 to
participate.
